Representatives of the Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas participated on 4 February in a public consultation on the draft document “Significant Water Management Issues”, as part of the preparation of the Water Management Plan for the Sava River Basin in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (2028–2033).
The public consultation was held at the “Hollywood” Hotel in Sarajevo and was organized by the Sava River Basin Agency Sarajevo, the Institute for Water Management d.d. Sarajevo, and HEIS d.o.o. Sarajevo. The document “Significant Water Management Issues” represents one of the key foundations for defining water management objectives and the Programme of Measures for the period 2028–2033.
The aim of the consultation was to familiarize participants with the current state of water management in the Sava River Basin within the Federation of BiH, as well as to discuss the key problems and challenges that the water sector will face in the upcoming planning period.
