On Wednesday, 4 February, the founding assembly of the Association of Protected Area Managers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held. Amarildo Mulić was elected as President of the Association, while Asad Jelešković, Director of the Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, was elected as President of the Assembly.
The Association was established within the SPA – Sustainability of Protected Areas project, implemented by UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of strengthening cooperation, joint representation, and more effective protection of natural values. The establishment of the Association creates a strong framework for coordinated action, exchange of experience, and the advancement of sustainable management of protected areas in the Federation of BiH.
