Representatives of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas (Institution) attended the International Tourism Fair in Berlin from 7 to 9 March, which brings together all tourism workers to present to potential tourists the natural beauty of the representative countries. As the Institution manages areas of exceptional natural beauty, this was an ideal place where the work of the Institution could be presented, as well as plans on how to improve business and strive for sustainable tourism that will satisfy visitors to protected areas while not put negative pressure on nature and biodiversity.
The representatives of the Institution were able to see the ways in which the protected areas of the surrounding countries are presented, as well as the way they manage visitors. After learning the new practices, it remains to be applied in the protected areas of Sarajevo Canton.
