The Sarajevo Destination Festival was organized by the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board, under the auspices of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Economy, on 26 and 27 April in the “Mirza Delibašić” hall in Sarajevo. The Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas was among the many exhibitors, at whose stand visitors could learn about its work and the five protected areas it manages – Bijambare, Vrelo Bosne, Skakavac, Trebević and Bentbaša. At the festival, a promotional and educational film by the Institution entitled “Protected Natural Areas of Sarajevo Canton” was also shown.
The festival was a gathering place for tourist communities in order to promote certain tourist destinations in the countries of the region, the Balkans, and the world. The festival promoted the year-round tourist offer of each of the participating countries and an insight into the contents of individual destinations. During the festival, numerous promotions and presentations were held through gastronomic, folklore, musical and other contents.
