Professors from the Department of Geography, Faculty of Science, University of Sarajevo and colleagues from Slovenia visited Bijambare on 22 June 2022, as part of a bilateral scientific research project of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia entitled “Comparative analysis of spatial development of sustainable tourism in protected areas of BiH and Slovenia“.
On that occasion, they were presented with the natural beauties of this area, its tourist potentials and the challenges faced by the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Areas.
A lecture was held at the Information and Educational Center where they were presented with management plans, spatial plans, and legislation not only of Bijambare but also of other areas managed by the Institution.
As part of the project, a monograph will be published in English, which will certainly contribute to introducing the protected area of Bijambare to the wider population.
