As part of the celebration of the European Car-Free Day, the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, in cooperation with the Cultural, Sports and Recreation Center Ilidža, organized a cycling event at Vrelo Bosne on 22 September. More than 300 students from Ilidža’s primary and secondary schools took part.
The cycling route started at the beginning of Velika Aleja, near the carriage stand, and continued to the end of Stojčevačka Aleja and back.
This event is part of a long-term project marking important environmental dates in cooperation with schools, which the Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas has been implementing since 2011. Over 15,000 students have participated in this initiative to date.
