Large Number of Visits at Vrelo Bosne in the First Six Months of This Year

We are witnessing a fantastic tourist season in Sarajevo Canton and its protected natural areas. During the first six months of 2024, Vrelo Bosne Nature Monument welcomed 143,385 visitors, compared to 124,125 visitors during the same period last year, marking an increase of 19,260 visitors or 15.5%. Notably, 62% of these visitors are foreign tourists.

With the traditionally busiest two months of the year still ahead, it’s likely this season will set a new record. As one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most visited tourist destinations, Vrelo Bosne deserves maximum efforts to preserve its natural beauty, rich biodiversity, and to ensure the best possible experience for all visitors.
