On 10 October, a training session on the use of new technologies for collecting and presenting spatial data was held at the Information and Education Center in the protected landscape area of “Bijambare”. For the purposes of the project “Establishment of Continuous Monitoring of Meadow Ecosystems in the Skakavac Natural Monument and Trebević Protected Landscape”, the institution acquired mobile mapper devices with installed GIS applications. The purchase of these devices was co-financed by the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH).

The wardens acquired knowledge that they will apply in their daily tasks in the field, ensuring that all legally prescribed measures are followed. Building the capacity of the warden service is one of the key goals for achieving adequate nature protection.
