A conference entitled “Dinaric Regional Platform for Large Carnivores ” was held from 15 to 17 June 2022 at the Terme Hotel in Ilidža. Numerous participants from Albania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Greece, Croatia, Germany, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries, including representatives from the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, discussed signing an agreement modelled on the Alpine and Carpathian platforms. The aim of the conference was to exchange experiences and practices in the management of large carnivores in the Dinarides.
On the third day of the conference, the participants visited Bijambare. They were introduced with its natural values and potential as well as the organization of management of this area. The employees of the Institution gave a presentation on all protected areas of Sarajevo Canton.
