Within the project “Sustainability of Protected Areas in BiH – SPA”, UNDP, in addition to valuable firefighting equipment, has procured and delivered modern monitoring equipment, including an unmanned aerial vehicle – a drone. This specialized aircraft, the DJI Matrice 4T, represents an exceptional tool for various field activities. A powerful thermal camera, the ability to capture orthophoto images with centimeter-level accuracy, and the creation of 3D models are just some of the features of this advanced drone.
This drone has already delivered concrete results in protected natural areas, such as detecting illegal logging, enabling early fire detection, and identifying individuals responsible for causing fires.
