On 18 December, the Institution’s Assistant Director, Harita Čolaković, participated in the panel discussion “The Role of the Forestry Sector and Forestry Science in Nature Protection Processes and the Expansion of the Network of Protected Areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” held at the “Hollywood” Hotel. The panel discussion took place as part of the conference “Forests and Climate Change: Preservation of Ecosystems and Biodiversity” (17–18 December), organized by the Association of Forestry Engineers and Forestry Technicians of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Assistant Director spoke about forest management within protected natural areas, with a particular focus on the challenges posed by the current legislative frameworks in the fields of forestry and nature protection.
Participation in such professional events contributes to knowledge exchange and the improvement of practices in forest and biodiversity conservation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
