On 22 March 2023, World Water Day was marked at Vrelo Bosne, organized by the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas. The students of “Nafija Sarajlić” elementary school from Sarajevo prepared a rich and interesting program that consisted of recitals, dancing and singing which had as its theme water and its enormous importance for all life on Earth. An art workshop was also held where students drew scenes from Vrelo Bosne.
Through such events, students get involved in the work of the protected areas of Sarajevo Canton and learn about their specificities and biodiversity. More than fifty students showed their diverse skills and, most importantly, a very strong awareness of the importance of protecting natural values in front of the visitors.
