A workshop for law students from Sarajevo and East Sarajevo was held on 6 October 2025 at the Bijambare Protected Landscape, focusing on the topic of criminal law protection of the environment. The event was organized by UNDP, while representatives of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, led by Director Asad Jelešković, hosted the participants and used practical examples to present challenges related to this important area of work and management.
In the context of the triple planetary crisis – climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution – strengthening legal literacy and understanding of environmental norms has become essential for preserving a healthy environment and a just society.
