The event “Art Occupation Sarajevo 2024” was opened in the Sarajevo City Hall on Saturday, 27 April. At the opening, paintings dedicated to the work of Mak Dizdar were exhibited, and the participants were addressed by Asad Jelešković, Director of Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, Mošo Novković and Mirza Ajkunić, selectors of “Art Occupation”, Elvis J. Kurtović, founder of the His Meteors group, and Zenit Đozić, a member of the Top Lista Nadrealista and an academic painter, who officially opened the event.
In the coming days, painters from Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be staying at Vrelo Bosna and Bentbaša, where they will paint scenes from these protected areas. The event is an outstanding example of the interweaving of nature and art, and the paintings will undoubtedly immortalize the unforgettable and beautiful details from these areas managed by the Institution.
