In the organization of Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, on Tuesday, 21 March, in the premises of the arrival station of the cable car on Trebević, we marked the World Forest Protection Day. A lecture on forests and other biodiversity of the protected areas of Sarajevo Canton was given by an employee of the Institution to the students of the elementary school “Vrhbosna” and the Secondary School of Agriculture, Nutrition, Veterinary and Service Activities from Sarajevo. After the lecture, the students visited the area of Trebević and learned about its characteristics and specifics.
This event is part of the project of marking important ecological dates in cooperation with primary and secondary schools, which the Institution has been implementing for thirteen years in a row and through which more than 12,000 students have passed.
