Due to the extremely high risk of fire, we warn visitors that it is forbidden to light any kind of fire in the protected areas of Sarajevo Canton. The damage caused by fires is enormous and requires many years of rehabilitation.
We appeal to visitors to comply with the legal provisions, not to light a fire and leave it unattended, not to destroy nature and the environment, because a little carelessness can have big consequences.
Every visitor who notices a fire is obliged to put it out if he can do so without danger to himself and others. If he is unable to put out the fire, he is obliged to inform the supervisors of the protected areas, the nearest fire department or the operational center of civil protection, or the police station.
