Organized by the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, World Biodiversity Day was marked on 22 May at Vrelo Bosne. Students from the “Čengić-Vila I” Primary School in Sarajevo prepared a rich and engaging program. As part of this globally important day, they performed recitals, songs, and short plays centered around nature and its values.
Since 2011, the Institution has been implementing this project to mark important environmental dates in collaboration with primary and secondary schools. So far, the project has included more than 15,000 students who, through these activities, engage with the work of protected areas managed by the Institution and deepen their awareness of the importance of preserving all natural values within them.
