The number of visits has increased in the protected areas of Sarajevo Canton. Visits to Bijambare and Vrelo Bosne surpassed the record year of 2019, which is measured by paid entrance fees to the areas. Bijambare and Vrelo Bosne were visited by 268,214 tourists from 1 January to 31 July 2019 compared to 277,440 tourists in the same period in 2022.

In the first part of the year (until the end of May), tourists from the region dominated, and from the beginning of June, tourists from Arab countries prevailed, accounting for 50% of visitors to protected areas.

Each protected area has a special feature, a characteristic that sets it apart from others. It can be said that all areas delight visitors equally, with all their unique “patterns”. Each visitor has his own special experience of these unique landscapes.
