The Conference “Forests in the Women’s Hands” Held in Bled

In the organization of the Forestry Institute of Slovenia, the final international conference “Forests in the Women’s Hands” – Fem4Forest was held on 17 and 18 November 2022 in Bled in Slovenia, at which was, among others, attended by a representative of Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas.

The goal of this conference was to show the current role of women in society and the forestry sector, to present novel methods of empowering women to be more visible in the sector, and also to present examples of good practice and show how women can be more connected. At the conference, various experiences regarding the position of women in forestry were presented, and future more concrete cooperation was agreed upon.
