At the invitation of the Network for Nature Protection, representatives of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas of Sarajevo Canton were guests and presented examples of good practice in the management of protected natural areas. On 9 July, a thematic meeting on the establishment of public institutions of protected natural areas in the Canton was held in the premises of the “Kemal Kapetanović” Institute. The meeting was organized on the initiative of the Network for Nature Protection with the support of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection of Zenica Doboj Canton. Director of the Institution Asad Jelešković presented to the attendees the way of working, organization and financing of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas. Among other things, Director Jelešković pointed out that he is particularly proud that the Institution he heads is an example of good practice in Bosnia and Herzegovina when it comes to sustainable management of protected natural areas.
