Organized by the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, October – Fire Protection Month was marked at Bijambare on 23 October. Members of the Sarajevo Canton Professional Fire Brigade delivered a lecture to pupils from the “Nafija Sarajlić” Primary School in Sarajevo on fires and fire protection, and demonstrated firefighting equipment and vehicles.
The Institution has been implementing the project marking important environmental dates in cooperation with primary and secondary schools for the fifteenth consecutive year, and more than 15,000 pupils have taken part so far. Through these activities, students are educated about the importance of protecting natural values and introduced to the work of the Institution.
