With the support of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, UniCredit Bank, GIZ, the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board, the Municipality of Stari Grad, and the City of Sarajevo, planned activities were implemented in the areas of Trebević, Bentbaša, Barice, and Čavljak. These activities included further digitalization, repair of wooden outdoor furniture, and the installation of new tourist information signage and main information boards with useful content.

Through digitalization, landscaping, and the integration of multiple areas into a single outdoor network, new opportunities for enjoying nature are being created. At the same time, these efforts contribute to environmental protection and the sustainable development of these exceptional areas. In the Bentbaša area, visitors can now use the new MTB trail Sarajevo–Pale, trails leading to Trebević, or routes towards Barice and Čavljak, and further connect to the Sarajevo Outdoor Routes (SOAR) trail network towards Bukovik and Skakavac.

The municipalities of Stari Grad and Centar currently offer more than 100 kilometers of interconnected trails with recommended sites, covering the areas of Trebević, Bentbaša, Barice, Čavljak, Bukovik, and Skakavac. These trails are adapted to various categories of visitors and include dozens of locations of tourist, natural, and cultural-historical significance.

With the further development of the application—already used by more than 300,000 domestic and international visitors—and with appropriate maintenance and enhancement of zones that have strong outdoor tourism potential, the number of users in Sarajevo Canton is expected to continue to grow significantly.
