On 18 August 2022, in the premises of the Institute for Pre-University Education Development of the Canton of Sarajevo, a meeting was held between the representatives of the Institute headed by the director Senada Salihović and the delegation of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas headed by the director Asad Jelešković. The meeting was attended, among others, by the Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Canton of Sarajevo, Mr. Adnan Medić.
They discussed the possibilities of joint cooperation on project activities and systemic solutions aimed at children in preschool institutions, elementary and secondary school students of the Canton of Sarajevo. Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas manages five protected areas in the Canton of Sarajevo, which, unfortunately, have not yet been used systematically enough in terms of educating young people in a different and stimulating environment, despite the fact that there is a legal framework on the basis of which it is possible to develop certain curricular, extracurricular and special programs.
After the Institute for Pre-University Education Development of the Canton of Sarajevo consults with the Ministry of Education of the Canton of Sarajevo and after the Cantonal Public Institute for Protected Natural Areas consults with the competent ministry within whose jurisdiction it operates, the discussions that have started will be continued and appropriate solutions will be proposed with the aim of better environments for learning and teaching young generations.
