The Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, among other things, continuously works on the arrangement and restoration of forest stands. As a result of bark beetle progradation, clearings are inevitably created by felling dry and infected trees. Due to the lack of natural regeneration, it is necessary to artificially restore the newly formed clearings by planting appropriate quality seedlings.
With the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton, and with the expert supervision of the Institution’s employees, the artificial restoration of stands in the area of the Protected Landscape “Bijambare” is underway.
