On 22 October, restocking of the watercourse with 500 kilograms of brown trout (Black Sea basin) was carried out in the area of the Protected Landscape “Bentbaša,” with the aim of preserving fish stocks and improving the functioning of the aquatic ecosystem.
The restocking project was initiated and funded by the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, with expert cooperation and supervision provided by the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas. It is expected that the fish will spawn naturally during the winter period, thereby further contributing to the preservation of biological diversity and the natural balance of this area.
