A working conference titled “Gender Inequalities in the Labor Market: Social or Women’s Issues” was held on November 28 at the “Holiday Inn” hotel in Sarajevo. The event was organized by the “Lara” Foundation from Bijeljina and the “INFOHAUSE” Foundation from Sarajevo, and it included participants such as a representative from the Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas. The conference was held as part of the global campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.”

The conference emphasized the importance of women’s economic empowerment, their independence, and their ability to make decisions autonomously. An overview of the most common violations of women’s human and labor rights was provided, along with a presentation of legal frameworks and institutions responsible for preventing and sanctioning human rights violations in business entities.

To ensure transparent and sustainable management of protected areas, the Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas has developed a Gender Equality Plan based on the legislative framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the directives of the European Union.
