On 18 November 2024, the founding assembly of the Association of Protected Natural Area Managers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) was held in Sarajevo. As part of the Sustainable Protected Areas (SPA) project implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and through numerous activities within the project, the establishment of this association was initiated.
The project identified numerous challenges in managing protected natural areas and conserving nature, and the formation of this association is the result of the shared interests of all managers. During the assembly session, guidelines were defined to ensure the effective functioning of the association.
Mr. Amarildo Mulić was unanimously elected as the president of the association.
