Removal of Tree of Heaven Completed at Bentbaša

The removal of the glandular tree of heaven (Ailanthus altissima) has been completed in the protected landscape area of “Bentbaša.” The tree of heaven is an extremely invasive species and poses a threat to the biodiversity of the area. The removal was planned as part of a work program, and funding was provided by the Federation Ministry of Environment and Tourism. In the upcoming period, employees of the institution will continue to remove new shoots to deplete the root system and reduce the possibility of the species spreading further.
