On 31 July 2024, the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas of Sarajevo Canton signed a contract to implement the project titled “Enhancing the Mechanisms for Sustainable Management of the Bijambare Protected Landscape by Strengthening the Capacity of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas.” This initiative aims to improve the efficiency of managing the area by developing better management mechanisms. These enhancements will enable more effective oversight of authorized activities and protection measures within the area, ultimately preserving its natural values, supporting the continuity of natural processes, and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources. The project also seeks to expand the tourism offerings by improving the presentation of speleological sites and increasing public awareness of these finds, providing visitors with the opportunity to learn more about the Institution’s work.
During the event, the Director presented a thank-you note to the Minister Pozder on behalf of the Institution, expressing gratitude for her ongoing and selfless support.
