The Federal First Aid Competition Held at Bijambare

On 26 May, the 25th consecutive Federal First Aid Competition organized by the Red Cross of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place at the Protected Landscape area of Bijambare. The event brought together over 250 participants, including primary and secondary school students from all cantons in the Federation, along with a visiting team from the Red Cross of Vojvodina. Asad Jelešković, Director of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, addressed the participants, wishing them success in the competition and encouraging them to enjoy their time in the beautiful surroundings of Bijambare.

Across the expansive grounds of Bijambare, various accident scenarios were simulated, presenting realistic injuries, conditions, and illnesses. Student teams demonstrated impressive training and teamwork in providing first aid. Their adept handling of diverse situations earned high marks from the judges, while numerous visitors witnessed firsthand the students’ skills. One of the competition’s objectives is to showcase Bijambare’s exceptional natural beauty and environmental values, offering a range of activities for visitors to enjoy a quality experience in nature.
