In the premises of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, on 19 and 20 December, presentations were held for employees of the Institution in the field of occupational safety. The lecturer was from the company for fire protection engineering, production, trade and services “Firing” from Visoko, and she introduced the employees to the new provisions and items of the Law on Occupational Safety from 2020 (“Official Gazette of FBiH”, 79/20).
The lecture also discussed the rights and obligations of workers and employers, as well as the most common causes of injuries such as fatigue, inattention, non-compliance with safety rules at work, work under pressure, inexperience and failure to use personal protective equipment. They also talked about the conditions for the performance of work duties and the necessary procedures related to the safety of workers. Occupational health and safety is an area with which every employee must familiarize himself and fully master its procedures and rules.
