Organized by the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, the event “Days of Protected Areas of Sarajevo Canton” was held on 31 May at the Natural Monument “Skakavac.” Participants were welcomed by Asad Jelešković, Director of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas, followed by a hiking tour along the route: Uževica – Sedam vrela – Bukovik – Skakavac Plateau.
After the hike, a book promotion took place at the Skakavac Plateau: “Wild Orchids in the Protected Natural Areas of Sarajevo Canton” (authored by a group of contributors).
This was the third edition of the event, aimed at promoting protected areas, engaging school and university students in the Institution’s work, and supporting scientific research in protected areas.
