On April 26, a large spring action of cleaning the city and arranging and greening public areas began in the protected area of Bentbaša. The action is organized by the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Physical Planning and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton in cooperation with the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas and the companies “Rad” and “Park”. The action was opened by the line minister Enver Hadžiahmetović, and 335 workers from the records of the “Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton” will take part in it.
The goal of the action is to create a more beautiful environment for the residents of Sarajevo and strengthen their environmental awareness. This cleaning action is also an education about the exceptional natural and cultural values of the Sarajevo Canton and the importance of their protection.
