On August 23, in the area of the Protected Landscape “Bijambare”, employees of the Forestry Institute from Ljubljana and the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas collected samples from the seed stand. Sampling involved taking 60 needles from 25 spruce trees at a distance of 30 meters, so there was no negative impact on the environment of this protected landscape.

The research is conducted within the framework of the FORGENIUS project, following the H2020 public call, funded by the European Union, which will provide an insight into the diversity of European forests and their resistance to climate change.
