Representatives of the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Natural Areas , headed by the director Asad Jelešković, attended the conference on biomass, integral forest protection and the introduction of environmentally acceptable technologies in the use of forests in the hotel “Monti” on Igman, which began on 22 and will last until the 24 of November. The conference was organized by KJP “Sarajevo-šume” with the support of the Sarajevo Canton Government.
In the past two years, KJP “Sarajevo-šume” has begun significant processes of reorganization and modernization of the introduction of environmentally acceptable technologies in the utilisation of forests and raising the quality of functionality in the execution of long-term plans for the management of forests and forest land they manage. This conference essentially represents a gathering of science, forestry, institutions, the wood processing sector and all actors who are directly and indirectly involved in the management of forest resources.
